BED AND BREAKFAST

Situated in the North of Scotland, 80 kilometres (50 miles) north of Aberdeen, this enchanting Bed and Breakfast establishment is well worth tracking down. Good food, friendly people, peace and tranquillity and possibly a "wee dram" at the end of the day (acquired at some distillery tour hopefully). In the absolute heart of "Whisky Country" with 5 distilleries less than 10 kilometres (7 miles) away. What more could you ask for.
From Keith, follow the A95 Keith/Banff road for around 3 kilometres (2 miles) then bear left at Auchinhove onto the B9018 signposted Cullen. Travel around a further 1 kilometre (2/3rds mile) along this route and a Scottish Tourist Board sign will be on your left, guiding you to Chapelhill Croft. Turn off left at the first road after the Scottish Tourist Board sign and follow the narrow single track road for a further 1 kilometre (2/3rds mile) and at a fork in the road, you will be further guided by another signpost up a slight incline to the Croft.

RAILWAY BOOKS
Train Life in Whisky Country
By R. I. Smith
Keith & Dufftown Railway Association
This book, is the culmination of hours, months and years of research into the lives of railwaymen in the North of Scotland in years gone past
It is a true reflection of what life was like on the railways with contributions from staff past and present, and others, whose lives were radically changed by the fact that someone in the family joined the railways
Plenty of pictures of 'kent' faces and places, from days gone by
No one should under estimate the power of close knit communities, who worked together to bring the benefit of the railway system to the communities in years gone past. The benefits are still being felt today, all over the railway system
This book, which runs to 63 pages, gives the reader a true insight into the conditions and sometimes humorous working practices of the railwaymen of years gone past at various stations in the North of Scotland
