Left 'click', with your mouse, on any underlined site address, and, provided you are connected to the Internet, via your Service provider (ISP), you will quickly be transported to the site of your choice. Left 'clicking' the 'Back' button on your browser, will eventually transport you back to these pages, relative to how many pages into the chosen site you have gone. Add only this site to your 'Hotlist', and you will have easy access to all the sites included here. This will save you the effort of having to add all the individual sites that you visit, to your 'Hotlist'.

For starters, let us go to site that will revolutionize your TV listings for ever - www.digiguide.com
This site involves some work from you to get the best out of it. Once you have downloaded the Main program, you can then download TV listings, to channels of your choice, including terrestrial, Sky, Cable and Radio listings, which will give you 14 days coverage. Subsequent downloads can be automatic if you so desire. You can set up reminders of favourites and numerous other functions, which you can access from within the program. A small fee is required to register the program. If you wish, you can access on line listings, from this site also, and not use the program. But in my experience you will find this site very handy.

Next is a site which can be a boon for travellers and looking up places - www.multimap.co.uk
This is a very interesting site insomuch as you can do the obvious things, like search for places. But this site has much more - Like if you navigate to a large city, you can get an option to have an aerial photo of the part of the city you are looking down on. This option is very useful used in conjunction with a search by postcode. Facilities also exist to print out your chosen map and the detail is related to the scale you have chosen. This site has recently been overhauled, and you can now register, which is free, and take advantage of some of the services offered.

Now for something completely different, and a multitude of options within this site - www.rightenough.co.uk
In here you will find practically all your needs at one place. I particularly liked the Cam Web facility which gave local as well as international Cam Webs for your enjoyment. If you don't care for what's on offer here, let us move on.

You are the weakest link. GOODBYE. - www.bbc.co.uk/weakestlink
This site from "Auntie" offers a behind the scenes look at the show, a downloadable mask of the presenter ( to scare the kids) and 'Real Player' clips of the most indignant exits by beaten contestants.....Wow.

If text messaging is your scene, there is plenty out there - www.o2.co.uk
You have to register here to get the full benefits of this site, but it is well worth it. Send text messages to any mobile phone practically anywhere in the world for FREE. Lots of other goodies here as well. Don't be put off by the complicated looking home page, this site I found was very easy to navigate. Text your Mother-in-law in Australia "Gi'day". Text message limited to 130 characters, but you might not like to say much to Mother-in-Law anyway !

This site brings a lot of very handy information all together and local to you - www.upmystreet.com
A few years ago, the option to have all this information, effectively just one click away, was unprecedented. Here, you enter your postcode and you can instantly access details of your neighbourhood's house prices, details of local council tax bands, and get the address of your closest restaurant . Well worth a visit, if only to "browse" locally as it were.

Next up, is a site of special interest if you require a particular picture - www.google.co.uk
Click on the address given and you will be transported to a very powerful search engine. If you require a particular picture, select IMAGES from the opening page and you will be invited to enter a search word for a particular picture. Some thought is required here, since entering "trains" will throw up probably 10 maybe 20 or more pages of train pictures/photos. But if you think selectively, and enter for your search, possibly "U.K. steam engines", this will effectively limit the search engine, to give you a more precise search for what you require. Google Images is reputedly the largest collection of pictures/photos on any website in the world.

Next item is possibly something that you did not give much thought to - www.darksky.org
This site is maybe not the most brilliant ( pun intended ) in the world, but the information available is stunning. Just imagine, driving down the road, very dark night, no moon and you round this bend and are confronted with the most horrendous light coming towards you at great speed. "Wish these people would dip their lights" is your first thought, after reducing speed. But no vehicle is coming towards you. You are looking at "light pollution" at it's best. Stuck on a pole or bolted onto the end of a building, one massive 1000w, 1 million candlepower tungsten halogen light, pointing at the clouds, and your windscreen. We've all seen it. In fact locally I could count 4 or 5 instances of severe "light pollution". And the Council and local constabulary seems blissfully unaware of any problem. In fact the Council seem to have a policy of bolting them onto their houses, pointing horizontally and at the sky. But in the event of a Road Traffic Accident possibly caused by the other driver not "dipping", the police would be obliged to say " Blow into this please. Have you been drinking a lot, or do you normally turn green in a bright light ?". Food for thought.
