This was a contribution received via Email from Eric Lawson and shows the "Falls of Tarnash" in the winter, very frozen up. Possible date is reckoned to be the late 1970's. Compare this with the picture of the "Falls" on a nice day, on the Start page. The "Falls of Tarnash" are situated in the "Den " woods which is a nice walk on a nice day.

Submitted by the Website Author. A very wintry scene on part of the Upper Cabrach on the afternoon of  Sunday 10th April 2005 after a very quick thaw due to a sharp rise in temperature. On the Saturday this road would have been completely blocked. Looks like Spring is not with us just yet. Up to Sunday the 22nd May we were still experiencing thunder, lightning and showers of sleet and hailstones even at the lower levels in Keith and the surrounding district.

An unusual view of the New Keith Town Station
taken from the top road. Railway line and
platform is on the left down the stairs.

I really couldn't resist this one. Absolutely brilliant
view taken from the Drum Farm looking towards the Knock hill across the cornfields after the harvest.

St Rufus park showing the St Rufus Church
tower and the Trinity Church tower peeping
out above the tree line.

This copy of this picture was given to me by a chance acquaintance with a person I met
in the area, who was very interested in finding out more about it. The picture is presumed
to be dated round about 1920. The artist is definitely identified as James Short of Glasgow.
What needs to be known is does such a guide exist and if so does anyone know of the
existence of one ? Does anyone have any information or seen this guide or maybe has
heard of it and could throw some light on where it could be obtained or even seen.
