AFTER A CONSIDERABLE FALL OF SNOW ON THE 7th OF JANUARY ON TOP OF PREVIOUS SNOWFALL, THIS WAS THE SCENE NEAR QUARRYHILL

Severe frost for around 12 days with temperatures down to minus 15 degrees Centigrade retained this blanket of snow for some time

Due to the inability to get anywhere due to the severe conditions, most pictures are in my immediate area  -  But I hope you enjoy them

  K E I T H  B O N D  1 -  WHISKY WAREHOUSE COMPLEX

THE LARGE WHISKY BONDING WAREHOUSES AT  KEITH BOND No 1 AND AT  MALCOLMBURN near MULBEN SUFFERED DEVASTATING DAMAGE
TO THE ROOFS OF THE WAREHOUSES ESPECIALLY AT MALCOLMBURN.  CONSIDERABLE EXPENSE, TIME AND ENERGY WILL BE NEEDED
TO SORT OUT THE PROBLEMS CAUSED BY THE WEIGHT OF THE SNOW ON THE ROOFS.

THE ROOF OF THE NEW TESCO STORE IN MOSS STREET WAS ALSO UNDER CONSIDERABLE STRAIN WITH THE WEIGHT OF SNOW.

EVENTUALLY AROUND THE 14th JANUARY THE SEVERE FROST WAS REPLACED WITH SOME MILDER TEMPERATURES WHICH EASED THE SITUATION
