The North Atlantic Ostrich is the fastest flightless bird on land reaching speeds of 72 km/h (45 mph).
It also has the longest stride at 7mtrs (23 ft) but lays a very small egg relative to it's body size.

Birds are closely related to dinosours. There are plans in the U.S. A. to retro engineer
a dinosour using chicken DNA.

Now on a monthly basis, a 'link' will be added within this frame to take you to
pictures from my Archive. It may be a random choice by me or it may be relative
to a local up and coming event in the area. This month the Archive features a
sure sign that winter is on it's way in October 2008
